IoT increasing Media & Entertainment’s Operational efficiency
Entertainment IoT - M&E Client achieves 25% reduction in YoY operational costs through digital transformation
The challenge
The last decade has seen a shift in the dominance of the studio model to an ever evolving mix of mediatech companies vying for top content, distribution and most importantly consumers. An ever greater revenue expenditure in those areas is required just to compete with these new players and a diversifying industry.
Company’s seen as staples in the M&E industry for decades are now required to look at their business model in tracking studio assets, ensuring transparency and bringing down the operational downtime.
Our client had to rethink their existing business model to include sensors, IoT, Cloud and Data technology to simplify complex operations, attract new clientele, and direct revenue if they wanted to stay relevant and profitable in today’s aggressive entertainment market. The Clovity Solution
Clovity utilized its team’s intricate knowledge of IoT, Big Data, Cloud, and SaaS integration to achieve significantly greater synchronization of operational tasks, personnel requirements, and tracking of assets.
By integrating complex IoT networks, we allowed the studio coordinator’s to easily track the location of the studio’s assets helping to decrease non-operational downtime, increase on-time allocation of resources, and almost eliminating duplicate processes. By understanding how their business was operating on a per asset basis, it allowed them to create agile processes that ensured precises delivery and overall greater client satisfaction.
Next, by applying a similar IoT framework to human capital, Clovity was able to empower those overseeing production to manage workforce requirements for their production efforts by monitoring site access, food deliveries, and ensuring proper procedures are followed. By automating these pieces, greater time could be spent on more mission critical tasks and strategy.
As the last step, Clovity created a SaaS solution in which multiple programs were integrated on to a single dashboard. Allowing the overall enterprise management of multiple business aspects at once, we reduced operational time needed to complete tasks as well as increased their ability to create actionable decisions from their data, in real time, across multiple business units.
Clovity’s ability to integrate complex systems and track physical assets has allowed for a reduction in this company’s speed to market, overall increases in client satisfaction, massive data utilization, and overall better understanding of the ecosystem it operates.
