Continuous Health Monitoring IoT
Continuous Health Monitoring IoT Wearable platform start up aims at lowering hospital readmissions by 75% with patient monitoring through its predictive cloud platform
Challenge
Our client’s mission was to predict avoidable injuries and health conditions of individuals utilizing their wearable device to track vital health statistics. The comprehensive health-monitoring device is providing real-time analytics as well as notification to wearers and employers about any health conditions. It also aims to lower the treatment costs for individuals, companies, and providers by providing a health monitoring system to alert patients and caregivers of any sudden changes in physiology that it detects. This device is ideal for industrial customers looking to track their employees that work in extreme environments. The client had built their first generation wearable monitor based on over 40 patented sweat analysis techniques. However, they had no digital strategy/ process in place as most of their efforts were focused on the miniaturization of the product and making their sensing system extremely accurate.
The Clovity Solution
Clovity’s IoT studio armed with our expertise in device-to- cloud-to- enterprise integration helped the client develop a Cloud platform that receives continuous, real time, and highly accurate data from the sensor. The sensor performs smart monitoring by analyzing body sweat and sends information to their cloud platform to be analyzed. The cloud platform is dynamically updated and utilizes Machine learning and predictive models to provide wearer with instant notification to prevent dehydration, heart failure, low blood sugar in Diabetics and other health conditions.
The customized solution provided by Clovity also included a personalized mobile platform which stays connected to the sensing device in order to track user’s vital stats in real-time while also transmitting this data to the cloud. The mobile platform displays vital stats like heart rate, hydration, temperature and activity values of the user. If any of the sensors receive a value that exceeds the set threshold for that health marker, the product generates an immediate alert. An additional aspect of the solution was the creation of a remote monitoring platform designed to enable the manager/ supervisor to monitor their team’s health by retrieving and visualizing the live and historic data from the cloud for the individual user’s added on their team.
The predictive platform provides greater workforce safety, circumvents heat related injuries for industrial applications, and provides real world insights for clinical studies utilizing physiological evidences.
