• Work closely with teams across product engineering, product management and interaction design. As part of a cross-functional team, help clarify the consumer and advertiser problems being solved, in order to efficiently engineer software-based solutions.
• Apply engineering expertise in the Android platform to ensure consumer application feels at home on Android devices, and follow's Google's recommended design practices (e.g., material design) in order to provide a native experience for our customers.
• Actively look for ways to make the platform better, by identifying areas of our Android code-base (Java, Kotlin) and application program interface (API) that could be simplified, or made more general, in order to improve re-usability, and lower operational costs. Once identified, work with engineering and product leadership to scope, prioritize, and staff such projects.
• Has familiarity with SOLID principles, clean architecture, and testibility and knows how to apply those practices to the Android platform. Should be able to design and implement complex components from Views to the network layer.
• Is able to provide impactful feedback during code reviews as well as act on and implement feedback provided.
• 3+ years of professional Android experience is preferred
